Having served as the mayor and governor of Istanbul in 1938, Lütfi Kırdar supported the construction of the Sports and Exhibition Hall in Harbiye, the Outdoor Theatre, the İnönü Stadium in Dolmabahçe, the Taksim Square, the Taksim Gezi Park and the Atatürk Avenue. Years later, his name was given to the convention center in the heart of Istanbul.
The Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center (ICEC), is a dynamic venue which provides all the necessary facilities for conventions, exhibitions, fairs, and meetings in the attention center of Turkey, Istanbul. With its advanced technology, capacity and central location, it is one of the most important convention and exhibition centers in Istanbul.

Housing Istanbul’s largest bale hall, the Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center provides a modern technical infrastructure to its visitors in the 2.100 m2 Rumeli Fair and Exhibition Center. The Anadolu Auditorium, with a capacity of 2.000 seats in addition to its modern technical infrastructure, is quite ideal for even the most comprehensive activities. The Istanbul Lütfi Kırdar Convention and Exhibition Center’s main building, which has been bringing world leaders together since the day it was opened, houses 26 meeting halls with capacities ranging from 10 to 2000 people. Aditionally, the “Kongre Vadisi” (meaning Convention Valley) which houses 5 and 4 star hotels within walking distance to Lütfi Kırdar provide its guests with unrivaled comfort and flexibility.
Loft Restaurant & Bar, located in the Rumeli Fair and Exhibition Center, has quickly become one of Istanbul’s most popular restaurants. It is worth emphasizing that even living the Loft experience alone makes going to Lütfi Kırdar worthwhile. With traces of the Loft in New York in its decoration, the menu of Loft Restaurant & Bar has a rich composition which brings international flavors together.
